Your Vending Machine
FAQS Answered
When it comes to vending machine cost, there are two things you must outright consider: buying price and operational expenses.
The initial price you pay depends on the machine’s age, model, manufacturer, condition, etc. All of these will impact how much you pay.
As for operational costs, multiple factors come into play, such as energy consumption, product sales margins, site rental, servicing fee, and more. So, it’s difficult to give a ballpark figure although Vendtrade offers some of the best rates you’ll find for new and refurbished machines to buy or rent.
To date, we have supplied vending machines for business to universities, schools, offices, hospitals, leisure centres, holiday lets, gyms, healthcare facilities, train stations, shopping centres and retail outlets, bus depots, and even film production companies.
Our vast range of machines allow us to find the perfect vending solution for any business or organisation, and in any location or environment – one which is both practical and affordable.
Even though we’re based in the UK and primarily supply vending machines nationwide, we also ship them internationally. Over the last 30 years, in fact, we have shipped vending machines in all continents of the world except for, perhaps, Antarctica.
No matter where you are, we’ll deliver the machines to you within days, and even within 24 hours, if required, through our Express Delivery service!
Unfortunately, we do not have a conclusive answer to this, given the sheer number of variables involved. However, what we do have are some facts around this: your earnings depend on the make and model of the machine, the total number of machines, the products you have in them, how much you’re charging for those products, where your machine is located, and finally, how many customers you have at any given time.
The higher these variables are, and the better the make and model, the higher your earnings will likely be.
Again, improvements will depend on the machine type, location, and your customers, to name a few.
So, for example, if your profit margins are not that impressive, see what kind of products in the machine are selling or aren’t selling. Then adjust your product offering accordingly. Sometimes, a great way to boost earnings is to get two machines or more, one for the healthy foods, drinks and beverages, and another one for the more indulgent snacks and fizzy drinks. You can dedicate the third one to barista-style coffees teas, and even soups. So, the more variety you offer, the higher your sales will be, that’s a given.
Also, you’d want to think about the machine’s location – can everybody access it easily? Is it in a well-lit area where everyone can see it, even from a distance? Is it near a high footfall and not in some isolated area where people hardly visit? If the answer is in the negative to any of these, then you may want to consider moving your machine and improving lighting conditions too while you’re at it!
There may be many reasons that can warrant a vending machine upgrade:
Your customers’ needs can either gradually change or often change at the drop of a hat, so that means you need to upgrade to a machine that’s better suited to their needs – for example, one with a larger capacity or the ability to offer a larger variety of foods or drinks.
Let’s visualise another scenario – if your machine is ageing, then upgrading it allows you to access some of the latest vending technology like full-colour LCD touchscreens, contactless payment options, advertising capabilities, and even telemetry which can show you real-time statistics through remote communication technology to better tailor the experience for your users.
If your machine is broken, not working as intended, or on its last legs, then you can part exchange it for a newer model. This will help you save money on a new machine or the hassle of trying to dispose the old one yourself, for that matter
Oh, definitely! That’s one of our key services here at Vendtrade. Our part exchange scheme has you
Naturally, when investing in a new or used vending machine, either via purchase or lease, you’d always want to consider the size and shape of the model. If you don’t take the dimensions into account, you might end up making a costly mistake as it may not fit properly in the allocated space.
Fortunately, our vending machine sizes are wide and varied. We’ve got machines that can easily fit on a tabletop and then there are others which require a few meters of open space to sit properly.
No matter what kind of space you have available at your office or business premises, we’re sure to find you a machine that fits like a glove and fully utilises the available space.
Yes – many of our machines have either been built from the factory to stock healthy products or can be customised to do the same. Vending healthy products and fresh food is something we firmly stand behind!
